On January 30, 2024, Larsen and Toubro (L&T) announced that its power transmission and distribution business’s renewable engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) arm secured a project to establish a solar power plant in Dubai. The company disclosed this information in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The project specifically entails the establishment of a “solar photovoltaic plant in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.” T Madhava Das, Whole-Time Director and Senior Executive Vice President (Utilities) at L&T, expressed the company’s commitment to introducing innovative renewable energy solutions and leveraging project management expertise to expedite the energy transition in the region. He emphasized the region’s focus on balancing economic development with sustainable practices.
