Bandhan Bank has recruited Rajeev Mantri, a seasoned banker with more than 25 years of experience in India, Singapore, and the UAE, as its Chief Financial Officer. Mantri will also serve as a key managerial personnel at the Kolkata-based private lender.
During its meeting on Thursday, the Bandhan board approved Mantri’s appointment as CFO and KMP effective from February 22, replacing Abhijit Ghosh, who had been serving as the Interim CFO and KMP. Ghosh will retain his role as head of finance and accounts.
Mantri, a chartered accountant, has a distinguished career, having spent a significant portion of it with prominent global banks such as Standard Chartered and Citi. In his most recent role, he served as the CFO for Citi’s India cluster for the past three years. Prior to that, he held the position of CFO at TransUnion CIBIL. Mantri’s tenure at Standard Chartered Bank spanned over 15 years, during which he held senior finance roles in both India and Singapore. He also gained experience at Mashreqbank in the UAE.
