Sterlite Power announced on Tuesday that it has secured new orders worth Rs 1,400 crore in the quarter ending December 2023. The orders, obtained from both domestic and export markets, encompass high-performance power conductors, optical ground wire (OPGW), power cables, and other products. Sterlite Power has also received orders for specialized Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, including turnkey EPC for extra high voltage (EHV) and high-voltage (HV) cables in the domestic market.

The equipment supplied will be utilized for various projects, including those in the metro, data center, and power sectors. Sterlite Power views these order wins as a reflection of the growing demand for its product offerings in both Indian and export markets. The company’s focus on contributing to the decarbonization efforts is evident through its high-performance conductors, HV and EHV cables, and specialized EPC services for cable transmission.

Manish Agarwal, CEO of Global Products & Services business at Sterlite Power, emphasized that these orders highlight the increasing demand for their products and services, especially in the context of the growing emphasis on decarbonization. Sterlite Power is a prominent private sector player in power transmission infrastructure development and global products and services provision. The company boasts a portfolio of 33 completed, sold, and under-construction power transmission projects, covering approximately 15,350 circuit kilometers of transmission lines across India and Brazil.
