
TVS Motor has reported a 23% surge in vehicle sales, reaching 339,513 units in January. In comparison, the company had achieved total sales of 275,115 units in the same month last year, according to a statement from TVS Motor. Two-wheeler sales experienced a 25% growth, escalating from 264,710 units in January 2023 to 329,937 units in January 2024.
Domestic sales of two-wheelers notably increased by 24% to 268,233 units in the previous month. In the motorcycle segment, volumes surged by 29% to 155,611 units, up from 121,042 units in January of the preceding year. The scooter segment demonstrated a growth of 24%, with sales rising from 106,537 units in January 2023 to 132,290 units in January 2024.
TVS Motor reported a substantial 34% year-on-year growth in electric vehicle sales, totaling 16,276 units in January. The company also highlighted a 22% increase in total exports, while two-wheeler exports specifically grew by 28%, reaching 61,704 units in January 2024. Dispatches were partially impacted due to constraints in the availability of containers.
Three-wheeler sales for the company stood at 9,576 units during the month, compared to 10,405 units in January 2023.
